Relaxing at Last

Sunshine with birds singing

Camping Warnsborn, €17.50
We woke to the promise of a beautiful day and right now, we have sun and clouds and it's very pleasant outside.

Yesterday we took our first bike ride along some wonderful, forested trails then came back to Homer and sat outside under our awning, like all the neighbors, and drank most of a bottle of wine. This is a really nice campground with good showers, a separate area for sinks and mirrors and even a hairdryer! The toilets provide TP, unusual in most places. There is a small grocery, helpful owners--Margo and Felix--and plenty of maps and directions. We are parked around a large grassy area and surrounded by trees and bushes. There are many trails to hike and bike which is very appealing to us. Best of all, it's very quiet.

On our trip to IKEA yesterday we bought two bath rugs with non-slip bottoms, cut them in half, and voilá! we have new wall-to-wall carpeting. The vinyl floor was cold and we kept tracking in grit and little rocks. Now we can remove our shoes and luxuriate in the our plush carpeting.
